Boston Biotech Conferences, a series of exclusive networking forums for leaders in the biopharma space, is looking for a Business Development Manager to expand BBC's sponsorship programs, develop new clients and sponsor opportunities to maximize revenue.
The ideal candidate has a passion for consultative selling, is creative, and is driven to create solutions that over deliver on clients' expectations. The BDM should be familiar with the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries, and be able to think outside the box to identify prospects and sell sponsor programs. Responsibilities include, developing a sales strategy and pipeline in collaboration with the product team, and closing deals to achieve both overall and personal revenue targets. There will be a mix of existing, long-standing client management and prospecting/developing new clients to BBC.
BBC is a small team working collaboratively to deliver platinum level events and experiences to C-levels in the Biopharma industry. The Business Development Manager needs to be able to work well in a small team environment with colleagues to maximize all partnerships and leverage all revenue opportunities.
The position is full-time and based out of our Boston office, and reports to the Managing Director. The candidate must be very well organized, with strong time management skills, and attention to detail. Familiarity with Salesforce is a big plus.

Boston Biotech Conferences, a series of exclusive networking forums for leaders in the biopharma space, is looking for a Senior Program Manager to design and execute several conferences per year.
The ideal candidate is creative and hardworking, with extremely strongÂ interpersonal,Â writing, analytic and research skills. The program manager should be extremely familiar with the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries, with special knowledge of financing, deal-making and R&D trends. The candidate should be well versed, and/or able to rapidly learn about the latest drug development trends in a number of therapeutic areas such as oncology, neuroscience, infectious diseases and rare disorders.Â
The position primarily involves developing sophisticated and timely agendas and populating the agendas with an excellent mix of panelists.Â The program manager will work on multiple conferences simultaneously and mentor team members, so strong project management skills while maintaining a high attention to detail on a tight deadline is a necessity.
The program manager interacts very closely with attendees in a number of ways. These include soliciting feedback for topics to be covered at the next conference, reaching out to past attendees, or to new people, with invitations to participate on a panel, or interacting via email and phone during panel preparation conference calls prior to each conference. Given that our participants are mostly C-level executives, our program manager shouldÂ have strong relationship development skills andÂ feel comfortable interacting with people in the C-suite.
In addition to directly managing multiple conferences, the senior program manager will also mentor and support additional team members who will develop their own meetings.
The position is full-time and based out of our Boston office, and reports to the portfolio director. The ideal candidate is a compelling and clear writer, has a science degree, has a few years experience as a conference producer and/or journalist in the life sciences space, and is eager to work in a setting where everybody pitches in and a small team gets a lot done. Familiarity with Salesforce is a big plus.
